Nightcrossings is Only on Radio Kansas
When listeners hear our deep music library and talented announcers, many assume Nightcrossings must be syndicated from some big station. The truth is that it is lovingly created every night right here in Kansas!
The play list features original compositions by classically trained musicians. Enya, Yanni, William Ackerman and Mannheim Steamroller are all at home on Nightcrossings.
One listener called the show “our little nightly miracle.” It provides the perfect atmosphere for creating, relaxing, or just dreaming. Listen once – and you’ll wonder how you ever got by without it.
Subscribe to our podcast by searching your favorite podcast “store” for the name of the show, or the name of our network. Get started on our podcast page right here. Stay up to date with the show on our Facebook Fan Page, and browse our playlists.
The final Friday of the month we celebrate with listener requests! If you’d like to hear a favorite selection again, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call the request line toll-free at 1-855-RADIO-KS. For reasons of music royalties the playlist must be settled well before the show, so be in touch as early as possible each month, then listen for Geralyn to share your request that final Friday!
Be sure to listen for our live studio series Nightcrossings JAM! Segments air in special features during select Nightcrossings broadcasts.
JAM! offers live recordings of area and in-studio performances. You’ll hear some of the featured artists’ favorite selections and in-depth interviews led by program Producer Michael Ables.
Stay tuned to Radio Kansas for information on the next performance in the series. View JAM! photos and artist information.
Features throughout the week at 10 pm keep you in touch with your favorite artists! Monday evenings we feature Guitar Masters. Be with us Tuesdays for music honoring indigenous forms on Native Spirit, join former Nightcrossings host Maggie Perry for KeyNotes Wednesdays with a focus on Nightcrossings pianists. Emerald Isle on Thursdays (with Simon Rendell, left) presents your contemporary instrumental favorites based on traditional celtic forms and instruments. Fridays at 10 Geralyn Smith presents a special set featuring vox humana on Nightcrossings Voices.
We’re demonstrating our commitment to Nightcrossings with a station broadcast full-time on and online right now! It’s The Breeze on 90.1 HD3 in the greater Wichita area. We bring this same mix of Nightcrossings, Hearts of Space and Tranquility Bass favorites to the web all day long! Follow the station on Facebook.
To enjoy The Breeze over the air, make sure your next radio has the official HD Radio logo, indicating that this digital technology is inside.

On submitting new music:
Nightcrossings has been on the air since 1986 so we are blessed with a CD library of thousands of CDs and many more arrive every week. We are thankful for the thoughtfulness of each artist who submits a CD for airplay, but we simply do not have the staff time for tracking calls or review feedback. If our online playlists are a sufficient way for you to track airplay, please feel free to submit your music!
