Radio Kansas Cares

We care for the communities we serve by offering NPR news, classical music and other programming that’s otherwise unavailable on the radio dial. This service is freely offered to all who care to listen, and we hope you will support this effort by being a member.

Radio Kansas’ Classical Classroom

We’ve developed an elementary school presentation introducing students to the composers we feature every day! We invite youngsters to imagine life in the past, and emphasize the challenges these composers overcame in their effort to change the world. To schedule a program for your school, contact our Outreach Director.

Radio Kansas Connects

We work with organizations across the region to keep you informed about events in the fine arts. From gallery exhibits to street fairs, we help get the word out about important happenings, sometimes broadcasting live from the venues themselves! Events are selected for broadcast based upon our perception of the potential interest of our listeners with an emphasis on being of special service to the educational community and to the minority community and diverse audiences.

Announcements you hear on air are produced from details provided directly to the regional arts calendars below. These lists are only as comprehensive as each community makes them, so you’re encouraged to enter your event with the arts organization nearest you!
