Regional Anchor, Morning News

I discovered Radio Kansas late one evening during a thunderstorm.  I remember thinking that the music combined with the rain and lightening created such a serene and relaxing feeling, a perfect fit for the reading that I was doing.  I didn’t know it at the time but the program that I was listening to was Nightcrossings and a few years later I would be the lucky host of the show. I began my career at Radio Kansas hosting the weekend edition of Nightcrossings.  From there I went on to host the weekday portion of the program and in 2000 I accepted the position of Operations Director. I share my world with my husband Corey and the “real bosses” of the family, our sons Xavier and Quincy. Xavier enjoys music a great deal.  Thus far his favorite classical selection is without a doubt Flight of the Bumblebee by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov.  We listen to that particular selection frequently-very frequently! Fortunately, he’s not old enough to call in during the Request Show, because if he was I’m sure he’d phone in each and every Friday!I enjoy the various aspects of working with the staff and listeners throughout our coverage area.  I look forward to many years at Radio Kansas.
