And WichitaJazz.com

We present Wichita’s only full-time over-the-air jazz station using HD Radio when available. This same endless stream is heard on apps like iHeart Media, TuneIn, Online Radio Box, SimpleRadio, Spotify, Radio.net, etc, as well as our built-player below. Radio Kansas plays Jazz on FM Saturday night!
Jazz has a long history on public radio, and we’re glad to bring you several great shows for fans of jazz and blues! Saturday evening kicks off with jazz in performance from Kansas City on Live at Green Lady Lounge, then The Retro Cocktail Hour from 8 to 9, before the chill sounds of Tranquility Bass from 9 to 1.
Live at Green Lady Lounge
Saturday night at 7
Live at Green Lady Lounge showcases live performances from the stage of one of Kansas City’s premier jazz venues.

There’s an old saying that “Jazz was born in New Orleans, but it grew up in Kansas City”. During KC’s jazz heyday in the 1920s and ’30s, hundreds of cabarets, dance halls, and jazz venues arose in the city, including the Paseo Room, Pla-Mor Ballroom and the Reno Club, where Count Basie was discovered in late-night radio broadcasts.
Live at Green Lady Lounge features live performances from the stage of one of Kansas City’s most popular jazz clubs. Located on Kansas City’s historic Grand Boulevard, the Green Lady Lounge presents live jazz every night, 365 days a year.
The Retro Cocktail Hour
Saturday night at 8
Swinging bachelor pad music, exotica, bossa nova and groovy movie soundtracks.

The Retro Cocktail Hour is a weekly hi-fi highball of vintage “bachelor pad” music, exotica, private eye jazz and eccentric, overstimulated pop music of the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s.
The show’s spiced with everything from obscure Italian B-movie soundtracks and bossa nova to contemporary bands like Don Tiki, the Tokyo Panorama Mambo Boys, Waitiki, the Tikiyaki Orchestra, the Italian Secret Service, Balanco and others.
